Tillmann Werkzeugbau Profiltechnik GmbH commissions new plant for tube processing

The profile specialist Tillmann Werkzeugbau Profiltechnik GmbH from Arnsberg has expanded its product range. At the beginning of February, a new tube processing system was put into operation and approved for series production. The technology leader from Arnsberg has been producing profiles and stamped parts made of steel and aluminum alloys for the automotive industry for over 40 years. With the new system, the company is now able to process tubes in various lengths, diameters and wall thicknesses with repeat accuracy. The automotive specialist is thus further expanding its position as a full-service provider for steel and aluminum components with applications in sliding and panoramic roofs, among others.

Philipp Jerusalem, Managing Director alongside Susanne Fingerhut and Wolfgang Böhm since September 2018, is delighted with the positive market response: “The announcement alone that we want to purchase a pipe separation system has attracted a lot of attention from our customers.”

The new machine also sets new technological standards. Matthias Schmitz, responsible for the punching department at Tillmann: “I am very pleased with the new machine. It expands our product range in an important market. We have attached great importance to the flexibility of the machine and will therefore be able to meet increasingly demanding customer requirements in the future. By processing the tube ends using integrated punching units, the most complicated components can be offered “ready to fall”. Short set-up and cycle times as well as first-class quality and accuracy.”

In recent years, Tillmann Werkzeugbau Profiltechnik has also been able to further expand its component assembly division. The technology leader for multi-bent and coated profiles now employs around 130 people and supplies customers all over the world. The profiles and assemblies are mostly used in sliding and panoramic roofs as well as for trunk covers, shading systems and load securing. Since 2012, Tillmann Werkzugbau Profiltechnik has been regularly recognized as a “family-friendly company in the Hochsauerland district”.
